For a brief tldr, a convicted pedophile abuser, Brynn, got uncovered as a mod in a subreddit for trans women, /r/mtf. In leaked discord convos, the head mod, CedarWolf, was shown downplaying it, and suggesting they swap their account for a new, anonymous one. Cedarwolf is a mod on over 100 subreddits, most of them LGBT related.
With the news blown, instead of like dealing with it responsibly, they just locked down, deleted, and banned anyone who mentioned it on subreddits they controlled. They’re going all in on damage control and pedo defense. They made a few posts trying to downplay the news as misleading or harassment, but the community was not accepting it. For a while, they locked the subreddit entirely, but apparently Cedarwolf stopped looking at it for a bit, as it’s now entirely filled again with posts calling for them to resign.
The news stayed relatively quiet for a bit, but now it’s to the point that Elon discovered it and is tweeting about it. Needless to say, this is fucked in so many ways. It’s likely people were put at risk or harmed by the mod teams behaviors and actions, and it’s also perfect propaganda bait for right wing shitheads as the news continues to slowly grow. Predictably, Reddit admins are choosing to stay uninvolved, given their “libertarian” lean.
(Also the pronoun use in regards to CedarWolf is deliberate. They aren’t a trans woman, despite running a trans woman subreddit. They’re he/they/she non-transitioning bigender).
I don’t have the full list of all assorted evidence, as this is more just me being depressed and venting, but here’s a few bits and pieces.

Reddit has such a long and storied history of replacing mod teams on left wing subreddits with hand picked stooges that this is almost certainly a psyop. Reddit is not at all tenable for left wing agitation, and everyone to the left of Bernie should entirely abandon the site if they don’t want to be useful idiots for the Epsteinite admins.
There’s a reason why all the long lived communist subreddits on that site are constantly on

To be honest, with all the infiltration of Reddit, and the various revelations, I do kinda wonder if they were purposefully allowed to be in this spot.

CedarWolf has been at the center of so much incredibly unforced drama, just an absolute fucking up for no reason magnet. I met them once a very long time ago, they’re a veteran and felt the need to talk about how great being in the military was and how well accommodated their particular nb identity was for some reason. Apart from that they were almost normal in person (I didn’t know who it was at the time, I only realized it later that day when I saw them telling the exact same story I’d heard in person on reddit), but I’ve seen so much of them online just being an absolute shitheel who makes the worst decisions since then.
Ugh, the absolute biggest red flag of all time is someone who has to make being a vet part of their personality. I can’t stand them.
Not surprising at all to hear that on top of all the other bullshit, Cedar is also a vet.

Supposedly a bigger part of harassment were people that knew Mikayla personally, and the counter-witchhunt blew up because one of the alleged harassers was trans
there were some other sanctuaries around her that had beef and contributed because the hearts of men are small and petty

Literally everything ive seen from cedarwolf is them writing entirely irrelevant inane bs as either a sobstory or a humble brag about how much irl volunteering they do (seemingly in addition to having the time to work a full time job and mod >100 subreddits posting a ton every day). Its so fucking grim that these front facing spaces for trans women are held hostage by ego trippers like him wanting to force it to include literally everything that will make us look as bad as possible.
All the volunteering + fully time job + reddit power mod in this context feels like a wrecker on someone’s payroll
