Kyiv has evidence that China has provided Russia with satellite data which has been used to target missile strikes on Ukraine, including strikes on facilities used by foreign companies, a member of Ukraine’s foreign intelligence service (SZRU) said on Oct. 4.
SZRU employee Oleh Alexandrov told Ukrinform that there is evidence of “high-level cooperation between Russia and China in conducting satellite reconnaissance of Ukraine’s territory.”
According to Alexandrov, the goal of reconnaissance is to identify strategic targets for attacks.
“At the same time, as we have seen in recent months, these targets may belong to foreign investors,” he added.

During Russian President Vladimir Putin’s last visit to China, where he met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, the two countries signed more than 20 cooperation deals in energy, technology, and other sectors, Russian state news agency TASS reported.
Putin lauded the relationship between the two countries, saying they have reached an “unprecedented level.”
That is damning if true.

This will escalate until the West fights the East in Ukraine, 1984 style.
If China insists on backing a nation that waged a war of aggression and hence wants to escalate it into something bigger, yes.

There’s a difference between supporting the side that invaded and supporting the side that defends against the occupying forces.

I am saying that all parties were motivated for WW1 while none should have been.
For WW1, that might be true. Here, we have a situation more comparable to 1938 than to 1914.
Do we have three blocks with two hoping that the other two take each other out while the third plans to conquer everything?
We have an increasingly aggressive country in Europe with a strong inferiority complex that tries to enlarge its territory by force under the ‘pretext’ of getting people back into the Reich. And we have a lot of people who deceive themselves that this aggressive country could be addressed with appeasement, only encouraging this aggression even more, leading to a large conflict. Sounds a lot like 1938 to me.
