    On that same note…

    We should stop considering it a crime to sleep in public locations.

    Sleep is a necessary biological function! Quit treating the unhoused people out there as if they’re criminals!

    Worry more about people sleeping on the job or behind the wheel…

      I think that considering sleeping in public unacceptable is fair, but it must be coupled with free housing for those who lack it.

      Public spaces are for public activity, but it is also unjust to consider those who lack private accommodations to play hide-and-seek with the cops when they want to sleep.

        Oh, do keep in mind that I’m not referring to people sleeping in Walmart or wherever inside random buildings, but damn, if you run across a fella sleeping on a park bench, well for the most part just leave them be.

        Now if they’re sleeping there every single day, yeah they could most likely use some help, but damn don’t just go arresting people for engaging in sleep in awkward locations.

          You can also require businesses to provide bathrooms to the public as a condition of operating.
