I convinced my teenage son to install bazzite on his gaming laptop to avoid Windows 11 and he likes it!
The best part: he wanted some game and worked his way through using Wine and Bottle to make it work, all by himself. He told me he feels “a bit like a hacker” now.
Can’t tell you how proud this made me.
I tried to get my little brother to do the same, his patience is a much thinner and he didn’t last very long until just installing windows again.
One of his favorite games, Helldivers 2, was borked for some reason. He did’nt spend more than a few mins troubleshooting before giving up lol. It didnt surprise me though.
give cachyos a try someday. It offers some good optimizons to the system, that would be time-consuming or problematic to setup otherwise
