Aren’t American comics filled with themes that reflect the eras they were created? I would think that unless they are adapting a specific comic you’d see an original story that fits the current times.

None of these compare with the whacky plot of the animated “Superman: Red Son.”

Just saw it last night. WTF’d half the time. Amazed it got made.
