This guy does not hold women in very high esteem. I doubt he knows much at all about what women actually do and enjoy.

I thought I would get more looks or negative attention for not shaving, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised! This could be pretty location dependent since I live somewhere rather progressive. Totally understand wanting to limit any reactions related to that though. Women’s bodies are still quite the open subject for people to comment on unfortunately.

I like to omit the second celery stalk (family isn’t the biggest fan lol) and add crushed red pepper along with the sausage. Sometimes I’ll do less heavy cream, a quarter cup instead of a half.

I cook the sausage first and then sauté the onions, carrots, and celery in the remaining fat to keep all the flavor in.

Great advice! If I was younger, I would totally try it. Must be really nice to just take care of it every once in a while and be so smooth! I do miss that sensation of getting into bed with freshly smooth legs haha

Yes the itchiness!! My skin is so sensitive and I would get “strawberry” legs after shaving which I never liked. If permanent hair removal was more advanced or worked better with my thick hair, I probably would have done so years ago.

I recently went on a beach vacation without shaving and my goodness, it was so much better for my skin to leave the hair!

That’s a rough situation you got there! I would probably start with talking to your long time friend, her husband. You do a great job laying out the issue here in your comment and I would stick to something similar - explain that you enjoy spending time with them, but her comments about other people’s interests make that time not enjoyable for anyone. I would also bring up the specific example of the game night where it turned to her bullying your husband. That’s just not acceptable and it’s ok to say that you will no longer be able to play games with her if it continues.
