I changed it a but myself, mostly lowering the dairy amounts and adding a bit more spice. It’s a favorite though, we all love it!
Everyone made it in the slow cooker! Haha yeah it’s that recipe but better. Very tasty!
Oh I still use the slow cooker, but it’s a versatile soup!

in additio to the sausage, what did you modify?
I like to omit the second celery stalk (family isn’t the biggest fan lol) and add crushed red pepper along with the sausage. Sometimes I’ll do less heavy cream, a quarter cup instead of a half.
I cook the sausage first and then sauté the onions, carrots, and celery in the remaining fat to keep all the flavor in.
