  • they weren’t white either. and black Africans were well known to all of Africa and the Mediterranean FAR further back than written history. Greeks aren’t even white, as far as you want to use “white” as some kind of identification, it’s useless other than as a racist concept to harm other people, but the most generous inclusions are pretty fucking difficult to include Greeks in. dark skin, woolly hair, blunt noses, a language distinctly outside European language roots. you got nothing.

  • very hard to convince someone of something when their paycheck requires they don’t understand it. seroiusly “hay I’m one of the people who has been demanding my company finish AI and roll it out and stuff it into everything we sell to look like massive growth so my stocks will start going up even though the language models aren’t even designed to do what were claiming, and they don’t even work well as language models, and we have no real use for them and they’re horrifyingly costly to run, but no, I don’t think it’s a bubble.”

  • had a therapist try to get me to realize Jesus is the answer to all of life’s problems. At the time I had been going to a christian church all my life. like yeah, OK Debbie, I like Jesus too, but praying it’s making me have less OCD behaviors I want need to start coping with or breaking so it stops ruining my life.

the appeal she lost was that the tats and piercings make it abundantly clear she’s over 18, and college attendance shows she’s not going to be easy to manipulate and take advantage of. you know. because she’s an educated adult. that’s the big turn off. trust me. that’s ALWAYS the turn off. this guy would say all sorts of nasty stuff about her body if the average 14 year old had tats and piecings.

that’s why a lot of them are a placard you can take down. Also, you can just look up how often in real life responders have not realized a baby was involved in an emergency situation, it’s happened. It’s not a “you’re too stupid” type of thing. it’s more just making sure it’s known.

The baby on board stickers are too alert first responders that if they find the vehicle after an accident or some other emergency that they need to look for a tiny human as well as children/adults it’s not too pressure drivers to get them to not drive crazy, there’s really nothing for that. Just hang out by a school zone cross walk during release you’ll find out just how good people are at deciding to drive safe for children and the law.

  • This is a pretty perfect explanation of why you’re not going to see AI being used for anything serious in the art world for a very long time. you can’t randomize your character designs every time you need more than one clip, angle, iteration, that breaks the function of comercial art entirely. Yes I know it’s technically been done, but it’s exactly what people call it, AI slop. You can’t randomize every element of a film every time you need a new shot, a cut, a new scene with the same characters, backgrounds, or lighting.
