On PieFed (and Mbin?) you can hide posts by the domain name that they link to. So if you’re tired of cnn.com, block it and no matter who posts a link to it in any community you won’t see those posts.

At some times of the year it’s fairly chilly. When I was there the first thing I did was buy a hoodie! I like how Laos is a bit higher elevation that much of SEA, so it’s weather is a bit less punishing.

You seem aware that the shopping and appearance is a coping mechanism (an expensive, short-lived one) but don’t yet know what to replace it with?
People use all sorts of coping mechanisms, some better than others… Anything to do with connection, creativity, support is very healthy. You can do that while looking good, too!
I hope you eventually get to feel valued even without having to earn it.

Every country has an interest in ships being safe from arbitrary seizure (or missile strikes).
Possibly that might get us something ok in the short term but it would leave third party clients out in the cold. They’d need to find their own way to cope too. If we can get PieFed handling Mastodon posts better then that benefits all the ‘downstream’ clients too.
I’ve put it in codeberg. Quote toots that get cross-posted to PieFed are pretty rare so there are definitely higher-priority issues.

Yup, crazy. I record all my coding screencasts at 15 fps and it looks fine while the video file is tiny.
Not like anyone’s going to be protesting over Christmas and New year’s anyway.
