Seems easy to me. Taxes have to be high enough so that everyone gets those minimums we discussed. They cannot be lower. And all government spending should go to fixing the basic human rights first before a single penny is allocated to anything else.
I’m happy to pay a higher tax rate.
Whatever works so that no one has to be homeless or hungry.

171·9 days agoI love the trivia that there’s traces of uranium in coal which go up with the smoke - coal is worse than nuclear in terms of radiological pollution.
Basic clean water, healthy food, healthcare and housing should all be guaranteed human rights as a baseline. If you want better versions of any of them then you have to work for it.
Wait… why would you ever want a seperate hot and cold water outlet?

I disagree with the transcript. He’s clearly bringing a bottle of wine to his new friends. That was my first impression and I’m sticking with it.
The UK had a referendum on whether to adopt it and voted against. You ahould have seen the insane rubbish the “no” campaign said about it

2·16 days agoSupermarket rapid chargers tend to be 50kW while the ones on motorways are jup to 400kW - 8 times as fast. Just something to know if thinking about long journeys.
I look at itt the other way. The EU’s cookie rules require websites to allow opt-out in no more than 2 clicks. I think they’re just trying to confuse and wear us down.
I will continue to 2-click my way through these things and not worry too much. If they wanted to break the rules then they can do it all anyway and ignore my clicked preferences.
What’s the difference between limited interest and consent? The latter is unticked by default.
