Grass roofs have been around for ages, but they require a lot of structural planning to deal with weight, water, and when they inevitably have to be replaced, they are more of a hassle. Whereas paint probably just needs to be repainted, or reflective metal roofs last longer while not being too hard to fix (need a radiant barrier, but still easier to work on).

“It isn’t cheap” seems to be the biggest issue. Saw another video that showed it working, but he did say it was pretty expensive for paint.

Yoga and strength training help quite a bit, but I always found the biggest help was to sleep well. I found sleeping in a hammock basically got rid of any lower back pain, but I’m sure a good bed will help as well.

Depends on what you’re doing with them. If I’m listening to music and want fidelity, I use wired headphones (also with my Xperia 1 v), but if I’m at the gym I much prefer my Bluetooth headphones as they’re generally easier to keep in my ears for long periods of time. Just a point of reference though, I’m not recommending the airpods style of Bluetooth headphones, I’m talking the older style wired connecting the two earpods and when you’re not using them, they magnetically join together around your neck. They’re actually pretty decent with Bluetooth 5.2, can get a couple of days of battery life and charge quickly over USB c if they’re low.

I feel this is a very good unpopular opinion, as I think a lot of the annoyance about the fair phone not having a headphone jack is that they bill themselves as a sustainable phone maker who prides themselves as reducing waste and increasing repairability of their devices, something that dongles kinda fly in the face of from an ewaste perspective.

The same target group that they are aiming at generally likes stuff like expandable storage (so that they don’t have to upgrade devices just to hold all their photos and stuff) and having a dead simple headphone jack so they can use one of the oldest standard ports in the world to use their headphones.

Since most newer phones have multiple days worth of battery life, I’m more than willing to sacrifice a few hours worth of runtime (maybe even a days worth) just to have a headphone jack. And you could say that I am in the minority of phone users, which is apparently true, however I’d argue I am pretty solidly in the target demographic for a fairphone, which I’m not getting due to the lack of a headphone jack. I instead, got a Sony Xperia 1 V (stupid name for a very nice phone) which offered a 3.5 mm, expandable storage, and decent repairability.

If the dac on the USB c adapter is cheap you can absolutely tell the difference. However, even apples USB c dac is decent, so that’s not really too much of the main problem.

Not a bad idea, my goal is to eventually add a trailer hitch for a cargo carry attachment or even a motorcycle trailer. I’ve seen a few people with them hauling an extra set of wheels for race day, it can be done but it isn’t as clean as just having something holding one wheel. I kinda suspect just having an electric truck with a bed and putting a removable generator is probably the best overall option though (actually saw someone on YouTube make a Tesla powered old Toyota truck that was working on converting a Kubota 3 cylinder to do that).

A lot of the time it’s mostly just cost savings. However, on smaller ones there usually isn’t really enough room. I have a Miata and my “spare” is a bottle of fix a flat, as there isn’t really enough room to have a trunk and a spare (earlier ones did have one at the expense of a lot of trunk space). It’s annoying and I do have a couple of spares I keep at home, as I have had to deal with flat tires and it’s very annoying to be towed for just a minor flat. It is what it is, but I would prefer an option to add a tire occasionally for longer trips, like on a tow hitch or something.

Well that’s a small relief. Still, it looks just like a Murano.

Why did they have to make it a Murano? The only thing I thought was nice about the original leaf was that it was smaller than most electric cars.
