Under border agreements, China and India can’t use guns near their frontier, so they fight with rocks, clubs, rods, and fists.
Perfect setting for modern Kung Fu movies.
Hear me out, Bollywood style Kung Fu movies.
Count me in.

It’s called the Internet because it’s a series of interconnected networks. Of course people are going to share stuff across these networks.
You know you’re right I’ve never posted content before.
Some of us don’t want to have ai powered bot swarms moving content word-for-word from reddit to lemmy seemingly ran by an incel but if you’re into that stuff that’s great.
Honestly, I only care about the content and the interactions I get with people in these comments. I don’t care so much that it’s content from another platform.
Though, granted, I would prefer if the OP wasn’t a computer program. I will concede that much! That part is pretty icky.
Who?.. And how do you know they’re an incel? What’s your proof?
I don’t know if someone’s agentic AI doing an incel post necessarily means they’re an incel. But yeah, looks like dead Internet is here… As is the concern all posts will eventually be made by bots.
Cultural take over is a real concern with LLMs (it will all be under a more direct form of billionaire biasing if we can’t solve for that issue).
The games industry is already going the way of the dodo, and I doubt it will be profitable by 2030.
Some are already saying 50% of new content online is bot generated. It just creates and posts content faster than humans can.

You didn’t read their comment than.
It said to check the third link from the top, which was to a whole profile I couldn’t be bothered going through.
Edit: Oh I took “check bottom” to mean the bottom most link of the three they posted after saying that. But they meant check the bottom of their comment. Yeah I see now, at the bottom they’ve quoted the user as being explicitly against the metoo movement.
I know I really kicked your reddit hornet nest that all your alts and propagandists are coming out after me haha .
thats how I know im doing the right thing.
Whoa whoa whoa. I was told it was a series of tubes.
The internet is two bottles, one lemon party. Sometimes, there’s a horse.

not engaging. reposts are not fobidden
let them go to Reddit if they want
I prefer my posts here
I think if you’ve both got billions of lives at risk you probably want to do stuff like this, an all out war between Indian and China would be brutal - it might even get to WW2 levels of death (80 million or so).
What would they be fighting over?
The sole purpose of these fights is stroking the fragile egos of their respective leaders.
Land the British promised to both of us. To be fair, it has been around 80 years since and at this point we should be settling our differences and planning a joint invasion of England.
Invading the
ancestorsdescendants of wage slaves whose dead imperial overlords drew some maps is almost as dumb as fighting over those maps.Modern China and India have their own homegrown oligarchies exercising levels of oppression that put the British imperials to shame.
Do you mean descendants? Also the British Empire still exists.
Also in existence are the Chinese and Indian oligarchies currently oppressing over a billion people. Not to mention fighting over a meaningless dumb border.
China seems to have found a solution to the oligarchy problem, but our politicians are too weak to follow it. Agreed about it being time to settle our differences and plan a joint invasion of England, though.
China has more billionaires than we do and complete dictatorial control over a population that has zero civil rights.
It’s the richest country in the world. Also, this is anecdotal, but I felt freer and safer in China than in the handful of other countries I’ve been to, and even certain parts of my own country. If there is dictatorial control, it must be very subtle.
Cool story
one of the dozens of land conflicts that are a legacy of the (original) colonial period
Water
Does China even use that west side? Isn’t it uninhabited?
“I don’t care if I don’t use that part of it, that’s still MY lawn dammit!”
This topic is covered in Neal Stephenson’s book “Termination Shock.”
