Nebraska - optimistic. I figured probably 7-5 or 6-6. Now I’m thinking there’s a real chance we can go 8-4 which would be dissapointing because that would mean we most likely lose to the 4 good teams on our schedule. . 9-3 or heck 10-2
Now, we really haven’t played anyone yet but there was one instance in the ohio game and two during the Michigan state game. Where I said if was anything like years past we beat ourselves on that drive, whether it be turnovers or going 3 and out. And so far weve been doing what needs to be done. And not getting in our own way.
Indiana in two weeks is setting up to be our game of the year. And to find out what this team is actually made of. Oregon we may be facing our former QB who had a heck of game coming in for Dante Moore. And there’s some animosity there
Well at least we got featured on SEC shorts.
I need to get some friends I think the Big 10 needs their own version of that
South Carolina
…not great 😐
Your guy should sub out when he’s told to. And maybe not throw punches at opposing players
And not stand over the other team’s QB and make shotgun shooting motions in his face.
I thought that was Texas acting like he was peeing on him
A month ago, I thought that my Huskies had an outside chance of sneaking into the playoffs. Now I’m just hoping we sneak into a bowl game.
Texas: honestly not thrilled with the lack of discipline but we beat an Ohio State University so I can’t complain.
I’m curious how you feel about Rhule. I was so glad when the NFL took him away from Baylor because I hated when we played them. He hasn’t seemed to do as well at Nebraska but maybe it’s just harder to build a Big 10 program up than a Big XII or AAC program.
Well he got us to a bowl for the first time in about 20 years. And we just won our first conference game of the season for the first time in 6 years. That’s how far our program had fallen
Like I really liked Bo Pelini but when your coach is getting blown out in nationally televised games and your anger is getting us stupid penalties in games in some cases costing us games. He had to go.
Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined us hiring Mike Reily. I hated that hire since it was announced. I wanted him gone at the end of year one.
Scott Frost well there wasn’t a fan of Nebraska that didn’t want him as coach anyone else and the Ad would have been fired immediately. We all know how that turned out. So many last minute losses from stupid mistakes. It was truly a recurring nightmare. The most unforgivable for me was his last year. When we played northwestern at Ireland. Take the lead with 3 minutes left. And he called a onside kick which we failed to get giving northwestern their only win of the season. Omg I can’t even begin to tell you the anger that brings out in me.
So after 20 some years of medicority. Rhules doing alright and the verdict is still out. Frost truly left us with nothing. I think Rhules biggest mistake was keeping Dylan’s uncle as offensive line coach just so we could get him as a recruit. The guy had no experience and it showed immediately in games.
He seems to have corrected that by getting someone else because they’re blocking better than they have in years. Like I said we have t really played anyone this season. We get Maryland next week, awful. And we should be 6-0 when Indiana comes to Lincoln. Rumors already flying that game day is coming to town.
There’s some Husker fans that think we should be ranked already. I don’t think we deserve to be ranked until we beat someone and it would be nice if that was Indiana or Oregon. There was a drive during the ohio game and two in the Michigan state game where I was nervous as hell because I just had this impending doom feeling that we were going to kick ourselves in the nuts and somehow lose. Instead we did what we needed to do. Which I’m not used to seeing. Seriously we have traumatic stress syndrome yet.

Florida: Better than in a long time.
TCU: Worse than in a long time.
Posts that don’t age well a week later.
I shouldn’t talk the first half against Maryland was ugly but Nebraska is 5-0 and damn it if I only get to do it once this season so be it. We’re going to destroy indiana and be playoff eligible .
Pure unadulterated homerism is what makes football fun

The TCU half aged like fine bordeaux. They’re ass and play uninspired football every week.

That Florida game was indeed terrible, but jumping out to early leads papered over some pretty severe limitations on the defense, especially the secondary. I think I even mentioned on prior game threads that it was going to bite them. Now, I didn’t expect the full on ass-whoopin’, and it certainly sands the edges off of the euphoria and puts Obnoxious Florida Man back on ice for a while, but I’m still in a good headspace for this staff and roster. I think they’ll coast into bowl eligibility and have at least one more surprising win.

Texas A&M is unranked now, so … not awesome
At least expectations for the rest of the season have reset, right… right?
Vols are ahead of schedule with the rebuild, but Heupel’s offense is like a drug that I need more of and waiting for the resupply is killing me
