South Korea’s presidential office demanded an official explanation and apology from Ukraine, accusing Kyiv of disclosing the transfer of two North Korean prisoners of war to South Korea and then falsely denying that the two sides had agreed to keep the move confidential.
…or else?
First of all the families of the North Korean soldiers will be tortured for this and fairly likely are not going to survive. So it is way smarter to talk about this sort of stuff in general terms, rather than being clear about who those soldiers are.
Also South Korea has a lot to potentially offer to Ukraine. This includes air defence systems and also decent range ballistic missiles(like 1000km range)
Yeah, and the 5th year of the big war. Do they help to fight their very own enemy? Last I’ve heard they’re not too eager to participate. While the North Korea pretty much is.
Does there have to be a threat attached to it?
I don’t know. That’s why I’m asking.
I would not think so. It’s just a diplomatic courtesy.
Wow, why would they disclose something like that? I mean I applaud transparency towards the general public. But there’s some things better kept secret.
