    What do you expect them to put. The truth? Yeah, “I’m doing this search to find my ex wife so I can murder her. This isn’t admissible in court, right?”. That’ll go great.

      The truth is that they’re not held accountable so the input field doesn’t matter at all, hence the sarcastic reasons entered.

      The blog post’s conclusion suggest an answer:

      If police want the power to track a person’s movements, they must be required to convince a judge with evidence and probable cause. They should not be able to bypass the Constitution with a search for “haha.”

      I am not expecting them to do that, I am expecting them to make an effort at pretending to follow the rules.
