I hate how western governments are cowards in regards to transit policy, too scared to offend the precious motorists. Fuck the cars governments should be actively tearing down suburbs and all car infrastructure, trains require density and density is good.

Yeah don’t move to countryside towns, it’s awful and there’s nothing to do, even “events” that occur are boring as shit. City life is so much better for that kind of thing
Personally I just like having access to efficient and reliable public transportation that’s also affordable
What I really wish is that we had light rail trains coming out from high speed rail hubs that connected rural towns to big cities so we could all live in the country and only hassle with the city every other weekend or so when we wanted something to do. Electric scooter last mile.
Bringing light rail to rural areas isn’t really practical but maybe some commuter rail and regional rail, also yeah rual areas do deserve some rail but obviously rural areas are always going to be less rail connected then the cities
It could do so much for housing. Both by making county life less disadvantageous (especially if the commuter rail fits cargo carts people could use instead of trucks to bring bulky things to and from town) and by making downtown parking ramps worthless and ripe to be replaced by dense housing + services for it
Yeah that’s a bonus too, driving everywhere is painful
