I realized that I still haven’t made this community’s stance on AI slop clear, so I updated the description to do so. AI slop is explicitly no longer allowed and will generally be removed. This was posted before I made the rules clear, so it will remain.
However, I want people to remain respectful when pointing it out, and to avoid turning it into a moral crusade. Do not shame people for it, just respectfully point it out and report it if they do not take it down. Nobody will be banned for posting AI content (if you spam it you will be banned for the spam, not the AI). My goal in banning it isn’t to encourage people to take a microscope to everything and create a culture of judgement, but to help people avoid posting it.
This is a casual shitposting comm, not one for appreciating art. Reinforcing paranoia is AI winning as much as it replacing human made content. It’s a fucking headache that doesn’t need to be that serious. We need to learn to live in this reality, even if we still take a principled stance.
