It still doesn’t feel good. He may be destroying our military, but he’s doing the “bomb children” route to do it
Bombing children is kinda how the US military operates at baseline though
True, don’t feel good about that either
same, i wouldn’t say i feel ‘good’ about anything our military does other than cease existing

Which is why I like to see it get shreadded up. At this rate, they won’t be able to for much longer
The fact that we live in a world where governments propagandize and send proles into meatgrinders with one another for the sake of private property and capital should be horrifying, not cathartic
damn right it’s horrifying, and unfortunate that it’s the world that we’re stuck in. it’s that context that makes me welcome the defeat of my own governments military, it prevents them from terrorizing anyone else on behalf of capital.
When you sit down and realize exactly how unnatural it is, you feel dirty
Destroying the current stockpile of long range munitions isn’t a big deal, it just means they need a few years to resupply. It’s unlikely they’ll be in a war with China that soon. It does mean they didn’t have any spare capacity for another regional conflict, using only long range missiles, so they would have to use ground troops more.
In a normal country that may be true but in America those super expensive weapons they build are ingrained into the economy. Even if they wanted to go make cheap munitions there’s a dozen level of contracts that would somehow need to be unwound between manufacturers and the government. The ability for America’s Army to pivot away from their current method of building highly complicated, expensive weapons is hindered by the sheer scale of the bureaucracy and entrenched defense contractors. They can’t simply restock munitions in a few years, especially when they keep using them constantly.
