It can be repaired, we might have to make a few people a head shorter down here, but I think it still can be repaired

As a Canadian, I know the vast majority of Americans are not represented by the dredges of humanity involved in this administration.

However, I don’t believe we will ever be going “back”. We can repair the relationship but it will never be the same. An abuser will always say they are changed, but the abused have their full right to question that claim, and will always remember the past.

You forgot all the instances of Carney capitulating to get Trump to remove the tariffs. Unless by “Canada” you specifically mean ordinary Canadians and not the Canadian government, in which case fair enough.

You do realize that we import a lot, as well, I assume? Additionally, tourism brings an absolute fuckload of money, correct? Tourism also supplements local taxes while they are here… surely you know that, right? Also lol, ‘food will lose value’ aka ‘price go down’ is a mighty fine argument for a 4th grader, but seeing as the society we are in is driven by ‘the price that the market will bare’, nobody is going to lower prices, let alone over this, lmfao. Poor old Walmart is operating paycheck to paycheck, don’t you know? They can’t spare a dime!

I know all the responses to these points are essentially going to boil down to ‘huh?’ and ‘nuh-uh’ and ‘lalalalala’, but just to drive the point home, I just had to put you in the spotlight.
