Kelly also criticized what he described as dismissive responses from President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to concerns about conditions aboard the Lincoln.
Interesting to note that for all their campaigning for supporting military, they absolutely do not support the men and women in uniform. What they support is military action, which is not the same thing.
Remember when Trump called soldiers “suckers and losers”? What else do you need to know?
Or making fun of McCain (I like my soldiers to not be POWs)? Or mocking the gold star family?
I remember years ago, reading about how the turning point in the fall of an empire is when it stops being able to maintain it’s military.
It’s absolutely true. The first sign is not maintaining infrastructure. Check. The last sign is not maintaining the military. Looks like thats a check.
I don’t understand this. We are America, we have plenty of food, and we have plenty of transportation. Why can’t we load a ship with food, and deliver it to the Lincoln? They’ve been out there for nine months, they’ve had plenty of opportunity.
The simple fact is that Hegseth and the rest of this government think of it as a ship, as an inanimate object. They don’t concern themselves with the fact that the sailors that operate that ship are living beings.
Good maybe they will rethink their service as a mercenary of imperialism.
A lot of the military use it as their only way out of poverty. Morals are more malleable for the hungry. Often only the privileged can afford to be on a high horse.

For at least a few years there, joining the military meant sitting around on base and doing exercise. Anyone who joined before Trump 2.0 couldn’t have known they’d actually need to fight someone.
Sorry, I grew up in the military. Joined the military , was OSI. Anyone that signed up after Trumps first term is a moron. The top brass has been melted down and reshaped by that point. Just because they can’t read doesn’t excuse them from following the same paths history has already paved
If only there was some organization that could do something about it. Maybe one that was setup to do things for the people of the nation. Too much to ask for I guess
