They rewritten Constitution, removing all talk of Korea being one nation but divided. It recognizes South Korea as their border country.
All reunification talk, gone.
They already have won. In a way.
Even if they formally ended the Korean War, there’s no way in hell will they stop pointing guns at each other across the border.
AFAIK it’s not a border it’s a DMZ.
Isn’t the sticking point that both consider themselves the rightful government of Korea?
If they both agreed to reduce the DMZ to a border between two nations then the conflict would be over.
So ok; Trump comes out against the annual US/Korea military joint exercises today and says Kim Jong Un is such a. Good guy. Totally left field. Now this.
So are they going to soft NK and try to break it away from China/Russia? I mean they had 70 years to do it, funny now that they’re desperate about China and Russia they try diplomacy…
I remember several times someone announcing peace talks with NK. It’s not like they never try.
I mean SK has kept it going at different levels but the US being involved…it’s been a few decades at least since anything substantive.
