According to the Polish statement, the first such meeting took place even before the arrival of the National Socialists to power - in September 1932. After the meeting with Hitler, Konovalets in his article “Hitler and Ukrainian Affairs”, published in the UV newspaper “On the guard”, called on Ukrainian nationalists “to become a dense Cossack system on the side of Hitler, which will create a gateway to the East”^[1]
