I made this thread because BountifulEggnog is such a friendly and good person. I made her a promise, and like a devil, I keep my promises.

Okay. So… this is it. Some of you may know me as 9to5.

Back in 2012, I came out to an acquaintance as transfem. I walked that back pretty quickly, like 1–2 days afterward.

After that, we entered a period of peace and blissful ignorance. I would unironically say that I basically didn’t think much about trans stuff until around 2024, when I came out to my then-girlfriend as transfem. I once again walked that back. I will say, though, that being with a woman makes me feel like a real man.

Anyways, fast-forward to 2026. I watched the finale of “The Amazing Digital Circus” What do I see? Trans stuff. I spent some time thinking about it, and I guess I realized Im truly transfem. I mean, the signs have always been there.

I’m now more certain than ever.

I also have zero intention of changing anything. The kids call it “repping”? I plan to do that until my death. I’m 35 at the moment.

Feel free to discuss or be angry at me :3

EDIT yes the HRT thread I made before was just a lil trolling ;^)

Nuh uh, this is about you. How do we get you to feel more comfortable identifying yourself as transfem? Are you walking back with people because you’re scared they’ll treat you weird?

Im already Black and schizophrenic… adding transfem to that makes me feel like a rare Pokémon.

I also consider being a woman a metric fuckton of work compared to my lazy manchild lifestyle. Before you say I could just be a lazy woman… if Im not trying to become a radiant goddess, whats even the point of trying, right?

YOU KNOW WHAT FUCK IT. I DO CARE WHAT PEOPLE THINK ABOUT ME. I also do care a great deal about the negative impact being trans could have on basically every aspect of my life. And dont give me the “being happier” thing. The pursuit of happiness is not my goal in life.

hug well yeah, no wonder. That’s a lot to deal with. It’s hard adding another target on your back. Ultimately it’s up to you and there’s no shame in protecting yourself if it’s unsafe, but there’s also no shame in shamelessly being yourself either. I believe in you either way.

I would recommend thinking about changing things. I came out mid 30s. Being trans is awesome. I love how happy and free I feel presenting how I want to, never hiding anything. I often feel beautiful, I like to look in the mirror, I like parts about myself. Repressing yourself is torturing yourself, don’t do that if you don’t have to

It truly is, and I’d have never known until I fucking stopped. I thought it was normal to go days or weeks without experiencing even a crumb of joy.

I knew, somewhere in the dark corners of my mind, that I was trans 22 years ago. I kept pushing that knowledge down, insisting that I needn’t worry about such things since I had found my “soulmate” and I really didn’t want to fuck that up. Twenty years and a whole lotta depression later, I finally admitted it to myself. I initially changed nothing, as well. I said, “maybe somewhere down the line I’ll think about it”. Well, once I made some trans friends and witnessed them living happily out in the open, it was all over. I ordered some fem clothes online, making sure I measured everything right. My first dress made me cry happy tears even before HRT gave me greater access to my emotions. A couple months later and I was taking the blue pill, then the patch, then injections, and now prog.

I have never been happier in my life than I have been in the past few months. I’ve found a new love, I’m living my poly slut dreams, everyone knows me by my new name, sees me as a fem. I still get excited to put on a dress or a skirt, heels, makeup. I HAVE TITS and all the girls love them (they are currently covered in hickeys). I wake up every day thankful that I finally defeated the demon in my head preventing me from truly experiencing life. I started at 36 and it’s been 20 months of pure joy seeing the fem features come together. You should give it a try.

  • Congrats on the realization, comrade! Honestly I feel you, I think about my gender literally every single day for the last I don’t even know how many years, but I don’t have the courage to even verbalize it irl. Hopefully I can get back into therapy because I have made my therapist aware of this.

Best you can do is rep until the dam burst in a few years
