Damn that water looks clean. Wonder what the average USA midcity river looked like back then.
The USSR didn’t have exceptionally good policy pollution-wise (maybe it was better in the latter years idk). The water being clean could simply be that there’s not enough industry upstream to significantly pollute such a big river.
