I always imagined large companies had largely automated and resilient systems designed to work with little supervision.
The more I know about it, the more I believe they’re not much different from my lab setup in which I rsync between servers.
If you’re using rsync and not scp or a USB stick, I’m pretty sure you’re already in the top 50%
The main difference is that your lab has someone at the helm who understands the whole system and actually gives a fuck.
