Critics of Donald Trump took to social media to trash the president’s bragging about his “great deal” with Iran that no other president before him could have accomplished.
Trump announced Sunday — right before his planned UFC fights on the White House lawn that coincided with his 80th birthday — that “The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all!”

Well it accomplished something… just nothing that’s good for anyone. Even enriching MIC and tech oligarchs is not good for them, it enables their self(and everybody else)-destructive hoarding behaviour that collapses societies for no universal gain. So, it accomplished various types of destruction, which is objectively worse than nothing.
So… he accomplished pretty much the same as the dumbass sitouts who allowed the insurrectionist rapist back into office as a strategy to stop that other middle eastern war?

He’s announced a Peace Deal at least 30 times. Usually he’s manipulating the markets, but this time it was so he could announce at his Big Stupid Birthday Party® that he has negotiated “PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST!” and the crowd will go wild!!
It isn’t even in a Peace Deal, it’s a Memorandum of Understanding, which is essentially just an agreement that they’ll book an appointment to talk. That’s all, except that supposedly they agreed to open the Strait while we talk.
It isn’t even getting signed until Friday, so what are the chances that either Trump says something really stupid, or Israel sabotages it with attacks, and pisses off the Iranians? Pretty close to 100%?
It was always just about being able to make a big announcement at the Big Stupid Birthday Party®. They don’t really care if there’s a deal after that.
IF the Strait opens, it will be closed again by the end of the week, and that deal won’t get signed. Iran wants to keep this going until after the Midterms, at least.
If what’s been reported is actually in the deal, Iran doesn’t need to keep this going.
Then they’ve essentially won the war.No more sanctions, US pays reparations, Iran gets tolls for the Strait of Hormuz, they keep their enriched Uranium, …
Keep in mind the US war goal going in was regime change.
Israel, on the other hands, needs more, so no deal.
Trump is such a great dealmaker, he expects Israel to just agree with the deal.
Even though they aren’t signatories to it, Israels government has publicly stated they don’t see themselves as part of it, and the opposition is clamoring for war even louder.
Wasted billions of dollars, caused mass murder of civilians, caused fuel shortages and rising prices around the globe, killed dictator only to be replaced by his son as new dictator, and nothing changes regarding nukes, which was the stated purpose for the war.
That’s an absolute failure and presents a risk for the future security of the US by putting the weakness of the US military on the global stage.
