News@lemmy.world•Texas judge asks federal court to end marriage equality nationwide
322·2 days agoI’m not entirely sure other Christians are capable of impartiality considering the long long history of Christians getting special treatment in our judicial system. You don’t have to scratch the surface very hard to find a plethora of disgusting rulings that mentioned Christianity as a mitigating circumstance which allowed for lessened penalties.

News@lemmy.world•Texas judge asks federal court to end marriage equality nationwide
228·2 days agoIt seems completely logical to me that if a judge claims her Christianity is so vital to her being that she cannot perform duties that don’t align with her Christianity then she cannot give fair and impartial judgments to anybody who is not also a Christian. Anybody of any religion that’s not Christianity in her courtroom should call for her recusal. Anyone not Christian for whom she has made judgment should call for mistrals.
Not even to mention the fact that can she truly be impartial to other sects of Christianity?

70·3 days agoThe transformation of CBS has been shocking and highly noticeable. Even just random news promotion commercials during football today you could see it. See the change in tone. The so very obvious Pro Trump Administration tone the reporting was shifting towards.
Don’t get me wrong, they’ve always been extremely corporate, but shit they were still news organization of Walter Cronkite right? Just sad.

14·3 days agoMan I don’t know about y’all but I would not be allowing this Administration to move me to the front of the scapegoat list like this. What a dumb move on his part to be taking Center Stage here.
I’m confused, here you’re saying brainwashed soldiers but down below you’re saying that war crimes can only be committed by people that are inherently evil. How can it be both?
Yeah Jags were having one of those games where everything was going right. They were hitting all the shots. Broncos didn’t even play poorly just sometimes you need a few things to go your way.

NFL@lemmy.world•Kyle Shanahan's brutal comments all but cement Brandon Aiyuk's 49ers future - NFL
2·3 days agoWhen asked about Aiyuk, Shanahan said the following, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic:
“We haven’t seen him in forever. I haven’t seen him in a month, and the same with our team. So (putting him on the reserve/left team list) hasn’t been an issue with our team at all. We’ve kind of been plugging away, and it’s no big deal. It’s just something we’ve been used to for a while.”
Shanahan then said, “I literally haven’t had to think about B.A. or had a reason to think about him in a long time.”
Yeah Shanny Jr is fed up.

Ye Power Trippin' Bastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com•74 year ban in a community I never posted or commented in
41·3 days agoWell I find that hard to believe, but that’s not quite what I asked. I said are you familiar with them. More specifically how they post. Because you must know they post like 150 posts a day. Spamming simultaniously all across multiple communities usually very low effort brain rot quality posts. It is extremely easy to end up down voting a lot of their posts. In fact if you have any Integrity you probably are going to end up down voting a lot of their stuff.
Now I certainly agree that blocking them is the easier, and far more intelligent, option. However if you don’t pay attention to who’s posting things it’s very easy not to realize you’re down voting the same person over and over. And I don’t think most people do. Unless they have that user tagged or something.

Not just acceptance but also expanding definitions probably. That + has taken on a lot more meanings in the last few decades. A lot of people who didn’t think they fit in a narrow definition before now have more options to allow self-determination.
