Went to the city for drinks and dinner with Dad’s cousin. She travels a lot for work, so it can be a year or more until we see her again. Was great, she’s fucking awesome, so funny like her Filipino mum and can drink us all under the table like her okka dad. I arbitrarily picked the Quarterhouse across from Spencer St, and while it was a bit exxy, the drinks and food were great. She’s always great fun to be around, and I got to hang out with her, two of my own cousins, dad, and partner. 10/10 would recommend.

We watched Mr Nice Guy tonight and it’s a Good Bad film. The acting is terrible and the pacing is whack, but the plot is simple enough to know why things are happening without being threadbare. It’s also elevated by never committing the cinema sin of being boring.
I’d only recommend it to people here because it was shot in Melbourne and it’s a chance to see what the place was like 30 years ago
Forgot to post my nails from Thursday night. Less than 48 hours, no hard labour and they’re already chipped. I even used a top coat and gave them plenty of time to cure between coats!!

They’re actually very dark purple with a sheer black sparkly coating. Featuring Black Plum & Done by Essence (Spud, they’re cheap and great, check 'em out!!), Death by Rainbow by I-Scream Nails (plz come back soon 😭 ) and Miracle Top Coat by Sally Hansen.

Cheap as chips at Big W and Priceline. I’ve got a couple of their colours and they are realiable, including their glow in the dark. Also their eyeshadow jelly sticks are fire as fuck.

We met at this Cafe I go to a lot, seemed nice, chatted a fair bit.
Made plans to go see a gig.
So far so good.
I turn up. See her at the bar. Walk over and say hi.
The first words out of this woman’s mouth were:
“I’ve got pills and coke”.
Now, I’m not a particularly smart man because my first thought was:
“holy shit this is the one!”
At the same time, I had a second more rational thought:
“Run dipshit. Ruuuuuuun!!!”
What I actually said was:
“yeah cool. Real talk: that’s not my scene hey. I’m going to bail”.
She was pissed off and called me a wanker.

I’d’ve bailed too.

It took me a long time for my feelings to catch up with my rational mind when it comes to behaviours/red flags, especially subtle red flags .

can I say do not be afraid to confront triggers, real triggers that give you strong involuntary emotional reactions , they are huge clues as to what happened , follow the thought, follow the memories, defuse the trigger
