Why censor the user name? This guy deliberately posted it on the public internet, he has no expectation of privacy.

At the dawn of the internet forums were anonymous on purpose and people were told never to reveal their identity. The concept of “doxxing” came about in this time to describe piecing together info that people revealed by accident to find their identity and break their expectation of anonymity.

Now the internet is mostly not anonymous, except for forums like this. Society hadn’t reconciled these things to any real degree.

Doxxing as a bad thing was never really a practice to be avoided in the journalistic space. They had (in theory) their owns standards around revealing identities.

So now everyone’s expectations are mixed up and nobody even knows what “doxxing” means. Basically just revealing an identity in any context.

It seems totally fake. Like I know Musk is a fucking idiot but would he even claim they were centrist?

Tbf there definitely is some history with this where he pretended for years to be centrist lol and all his moron followers lapped that up!

How does that site locates the origin (0,0)?

Shouldn’t the origin be the center of mass of the position of all people or something?

I sort of doubt that the average opinion of all people, or at least a representative subset, is between “Die Grünen” and “Die Linke”.

They have a bit on that kind of thing on the site … iirc … lemme see if I can find it for you… alas, no, failed to find from skim reading its menus and https://politicalcompass.org/about , https://politicalcompass.org/faq , and other pages… I was sure they had a bit about where their center was, along with how their statements are weighted in the test, and how worded, and why they don’t change it.

Also, measuring it by a popularity bellcurve would reduce its meaningfulness and utility. It’d make weather-vanes of far more of us, leaving fewer sign posts.

Centrist and biggest. Two lies, one tweet. Fuck giving this guy more of a platform than what he had to buy.

Villainizing education to make stupid people more stupid is really working out for them. They already can’t fact check, this tweet shows they’re rapidly losing comprehension of single sentences. Mission accomplished?
