Being an adult means being able to have breakfast for dinner. Bacon, scrambled eggs, halloumi and toast hit the spot.
Gibson has decided its bed time at 8pm.
Maybe she’s onto something…

kittens home, tucked up in dining room with His Lordship while I keep a loose eye on Cerys.
Max’s damaged tail looks like a lot more than that, he limps on his right and sits splayed. No matter to us, he’s ours regardless of if he ends up a diaper wearing wheelchair hoon, but they really shoulda disclosed that
Our Oreo had a damaged tail when we found her at under 6 weeks. About half way along. She has no concerns with mobility or continence, and is the most agile cat I’ve ever had in terms of high rise confidence. She bounces through the gum tree like a monkey. She has no sensation in the top half of her tail, and sometimes it is nearly straight up, other times we can see the bend. She uses it prehensile-y and wraps it around things like cats with normal tails do too. Young Max may be just fine, and even if he’s not quite, we know he’ll be loved just the same.
Oh believe me, when i say damaged tail, i mean damaged. This is half- length at best and when you touch it you can feel multiple breaks and kinks, it’s like a monkey’s paw knot. Which is why i don’t think it’s congenital . But as you said, loved regardless we just need to know what to accomodate
Oh damn… damage to their tail is basically spinal injury and can affect toileting and walking, that’s right.
I have my fingers crossed for you but if it gets to that point Kmart sells Anko brand pet nappies in different sizes and Big W sells pet wheelchairs. If that helps.
With orange kittens driving, your house will turn into the Grand Prix
The damage is mostly near the tip, not the base, but the right leg is an added factor - gonna get him checked, hopefully they were just two seperate injuries. We’ve already noticed he doesn’t leap as far as Sam, but like i said, no biggie to us.
We literally have a wraparound hallway, so yeah, grand prix track.
Cerys is being rather excited-tail, but on alert and loses it a bit if something else goes on when researching these wee beasties. we have them in the dining room, which has (closed) frosted doors to the lounge - they know each other is there, they can dimly see each other, they’re alert , but not alarmed. Ears forward, slight question mark tails, she even showed them her arse so 🤞🤞
Being an adult means having a shouting match with a brushtail possum when getting some spring onion, winning the argument, and then having an egg on toast without breaking the yolk but still questioning life.

First proper wintry day! I got caught unprepared and I’m just coming home now in jeans and a polo shirt, no umbrella or nuffin. Doesn’t matter. Had some beers and some Korean meats 💪👍
Feelin’ warm and snug inside.
I’m thinking I need some new snug cardies with hoods and big pockets
TW mental health
Today has been absolutely brutal. I had a hyperventilating breakdown in my GP’s office because I just can’t take it anymore.
I’ve made it through decades of things that would have broken another person and handled all the human deaths. But I’m continuing to go through hard shit while in severe chronic pain on the daily. Right after the death of my deeply bonded pet that was keeping me going.
I’m seeking mental health help. But fuck me it is hard to just keep on endlessly living like this.
so many hugs
#1, get the pain managed
and we are here always 🫂🫂🫂
if there is anything we can do just ask
Heading back to melbs today. Didn’t fall off the roof so big success. I do have an unexplained bruise on my left buttock though 🤔
Looking at what people charge for gutter / downpipe cleaning I would do terribly in that line of work. Took me aaages.
P’s back tm so jumping back on OPERATION FOOD for ol’ girl. Been very nice not locking horns w/ anyone about medical or food things (or any things) for the last 2.5 weeks.
Inspection on Monday. Good incentive to clean up my depression clutter but still ugggghhhhhhhhUUUUHQHQHAHAHQSHHSIBSUPSGIWVHEIHWWONXNXYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ad infinitum
I swear I hate inspections
I don’t hate them anymore, I use them as an excuse to deep clean the place, otherwise I can be lazy about things like wiping skirting boards and whatnot.
It’s a good excuse, and honestly it is the kick in the bum I need to sort my mental health out.
But also, fuck REAs 😂
How can so many of them be so awful? 😭
REAs are mostly vile. Had 2 who were lovely, and they got replaced by vermin. The kick in the pants to do the less common cleaning bits is useful, but never ever let them in unsupervised!
chores done, now for some sewing while listening to podcasts 😊 🧵
I was back at the doctor’s again today and had more blood taken. I’m not sure if it’s the new doctor or the magic new 50yo label, but the difference between now and a couple of years ago in terms of interest in actually doing screening tests etc. is very dramatic.
I’ve always been a bit annoyed by all of the ‘ask your doctor about X issue’ type messaging because I’ve never been to a doctor before that actually had any interest in following anything up. It’s always felt like it’s somehow supposed to be my responsibility to figure out what health tests etc. are appropriate and then to try to convince a doctor to sign off on doing it. Having a doctor that actually wants to arrange for things in a proactive manner is a bit of a novelty.
So glad you found a good gp. My experience is identical to yours. You’ve described it exactly! I’ve had a few different gps over the years and they have all been similar. I figure maybe it’s my appearance or way of asking, maybe I seem too well? Also I don’t go that often, so they don’t really know me? But then shouldn’t someone who isn’t a frequent visitor be taken seriously, because if I’ve shown up at the GP, I have a genuine concern.
then to try to convince a doctor to sign off on doing it.
They aren’t the easiest to deal w/ I can say that much.
My local clinic (been going there for 8 years now) is absolutely amazing at following up. The GP we started with is no longer there, but there are 3 others that are great. No worries with getting tests and referrals. They always recommend doing a full spectrum analysis of everything.
Also, bulk billing since day one.
The appointments are kept to the minimum time (10-15 minutes) but if anything is out of the ordinary they’ll arrange an extended one.
A while back I ran into one of the GPs at the shops and he was asking me how everything was since the last visit.
This is awesome.
Good night everyone
sweet dreams and stay warm and well 😘
Just say there’s 9 lamb chops and 3 people. Each person receives 2 perfectly good sized chops but one person may have put away the other 3 for ron because they are her favourite food of all time.
Question: Is that fair even though the cook always cooks the greedy little pigs favourite food and allows them to have the leftovers and the cook doesn’t ask for nothing and could happily take her shirt off her own cold back so the greedy little pigs could stay warm?
First the toilet paper, then the petrol. Now it’s lamb chops.
Gotta prepare
Um, I think my response depends on how long it took to eat the ‘leftovers’? The same night?
Also, I have to confess I ate a whole rack of lamb all by myself a week or so back AND LOVED IT!!! There were consequences, but I fully own them.
You’re doing them a favour eating the left over lamb while they get something fresh 🐑
Yes exactly. There was plenty of greens to go around. Nobody starved.
Oh oh no oh no kitten day oh no oh no
Oh yes oh yes oh yes!!!
We require approximately 8000 pics
Oh yes! The best day!!!
Feeding the cats today was a full on 10 step mission.
But it’s done and the food can be eaten whilst they stay dry.
Game day proposal Sat April 18. No named day, but I’m on leave and TheVoid has a birthday day before 😜 Yell if not convenient, will invite a couple of not Lemmy persons also. @SpinMeAround@aussie.zone @Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone @Bottom_racer@aussie.zone @Force_majeure123@aussie.zone
Sounds good!
Works for me :)
