Fiber up people! Quit eating that factory processed shit. I don’t know if this is factual or not but it seems to me that it is much more expensive to eat healthy than it is to eat highly processed foods. That almost seems like a cattle-chute to me.
But it is more expensive to be on medication from eating shitty food then it is to eat more fiber and healthy foods. Fermented foods help your gut microbiome like crazy.
Would it be linked to practically all your food being shite
Most people aren’t eating enough fiber. When I got my recent colonoscopy and they found polyps, they said to eat more fiber.
I read the article, but unless I missed it somehow, it didn’t say much about fiber.
I’m of the opinion that most Americans should start supplementing fiber around 30. Earlier may be better. Also start making pro fiber dietary choices like whole wheat bread, beans as a staple ingredient (they can replace meat in a lot of dishes), breakfast choices like oatmeal, whole wheat toast, fruit, or bran flakes, and snack choices like fruit, vegetables, or popcorn.
Honestly I wish I’d gone high fiber younger. I’ve never had what you’d call excellent digestion, but a high fiber diet (slowly ramped up) and supplementation have brought it back to like when I was a teenager.
Eating less meat and more plants is going to naturally push people towards more fiber. With the added benefit of helping the environment and reducing odds of heart disease as well.
Strangely, the nurse told me about psyllium husks and didn’t mention any of that other stuff.
I the nurse’s defense they are not a nutritionist. Throwing additional fiber into your diet is quicker and easier than reevaluating your entire diet.
That said, if you’re having issues both may be wise. And you want both soluble and insoluble fiber, so you’ll want to eat a variety of plants.
maybe because we’re getting fucked in the ass left and right
we got better at quitting cigarettes than quitting trash diet
It’s a lot easier not to start smoking than to never start eating unhealthy. Especially since not many smokers hand their kids a pack from a young age
