After spending hundreds of millions of pounds on mediocre players and questionable managers, United has no choice but to ask their match going fans to cough up some more cash.
I’m glad that I live in Germany where it’s still affordable to attend matches throughout the pyramid, from my local club all the way to professional teams.

Kind of funny they are saying this after they assigned a new manager who has got their squad playing much better. Makes this claim (which was already ringing hollow because it was the club’s bad judgements which saw them drop off) even more hollow.
