  • This is no real surprise, if true. Ever since Meta got their grubby hands on WhatsApp they’ve been trying to find ways to get through its encryption. For a while the only thing stopping that was a few senior members of the WhatsApp team resisting these demands. But that kind of defiance can only last so long when they are your employer.

I’ve been trying to use Signal more, mostly due to concerns over Meta probably snooping on the WhatsApp communications. But some of my contacts either don’t want to switch or they can’t get Signal working correctly (they can’t see or find contacts - an issue I’ve seen myself).

  • “a bad film made by bad people about bad people.”

I don’t remember the last time I read something so brief and blunt but so accurate.

“If you’re hoping Melania will have a ‘so bad it’s good’ energy, I’m afraid it does not. Melania is not Cats,” Smith concluded.

It’s deemed so bad even that awful live action Cats movies is far superior? Holy shit!

I look forward to the song on YouTube with lyrics comprised purely from bad review quotes. This is going to be the spiritual sequel to Rachel Ziegler’s Snow White disaster.

  • Great first half. Silly of Calafiori to concede that penalty. But some lovely passing and positioning.

That was a frustrating second half. So much potential going forward but no end product. Although Gabi J got royally screwed on that outside decision. He was clearly on-sire.

That injury time goal was horrible defending. Leaving an attachment competition unmarked at the far post… That’s just Sunday league stuff.

The refereeing was terrible in general. Some of the worst decisions I’ve seen in a while.

  • I know it can be entertaining (in a schadenfreude type way at least in my case) to read about people who got screwed over after voting so eagerly for Trump and his cohorts. But this seems like a really powerful, helpful, and positive website.

And I applaud these people for publicly acknowledging their mistake. It wasn’t easy, but it’s a brave thing they are doing. We all make mistakes (some bigger than others of course). But the important thing is to learn from them.

It’s through these people that others can hopefully learn and find a path out. Even if it’s just a couple of dozen people, that’s something.

  • “It’s completely unfair to the agents who have been put in this position,” he added. “There’s only so much they can handle before bad things start to happen.”

They knew exactly what they were getting themselves into. Most of them want those bad things to happen. They masturbate over the prospect of that brutality.

This is just some asshole trying to hand-wave away the crimes these people are doing under the guise of “boo hoo, poor them!”

They deserve zero sympathy. And all of them who have harassed, threatened, kidnapped, hurt, or murdered people should be brought to justice.
