Increasing polarisation under First Past The Post and a media apparatus that systematically destroys all nuance? Say it ain’t so.
Or… (and bare with me here) generations of establishment parties doing fuck all for the people while burning the world, backing a genocide, and insisting that everything was fine because “line goes up”.
Support for Labour and the Conservatives fell apart when both parties decided that they didn’t care about the same things the electorate do. There’s no nuance missing. They gave up and expected us all to fall in line. We aren’t, and now they’re acting confused as to where their support went.
No yeah you’re right, I don’t need a complex explanation for it
What, exactly, is more complex about your answer and why would you two not believe all of these factors matter?
I was only trying to cede the point in a sarcastic way, it just didn’t come across well. Oops, fuck it
Not necessarily a net positive with Reform being even loonier right wing than the Tories under Boris, but this definitely reflects a shift from years of the regions being told how world-leading the UK is, but due to the enormous wealth disparity between London and everywhere else they have worse quality-of-life than the poorest red state.
Ah yes the uk, where you have 4 parties and all 4 are shit
There are a lot more than 4 parties, and they’re all shit
True true
