As a Coloradian, it truly is eye opening when I visit family in the south. Everyone looks so uncomfortable just living.
Mississippi’s motto is the Fat Fuck State
Living in a walkable city is probably doing wonders for me. I walk about 3 miles several times a week without even thinking about it.
Walking is good for your health, but weight is overwhelmingly determined by diet
Correlates pretty directly to an income map, the great paradox of industrialization.
Colorado is where the skinny bitches are!..toasting and roasting in their juices. That’s why its called Colorado. Its red like fire because its on fire half the time. Gotta stay skinny to survive I assume.
Even though they are the lowest, 25% still seems way too high to me.
I’ve lived in Colorado for a long time and I don’t think anywhere near 1 in 4 there are obese. Perhaps I have a fundamental misunderstanding of what that means but it seems way off.
Obesity is about 200lb for men and about 180lb for women, on average. Keep in mind it doesn’t distinguish between muscle and fat, so John Cena is classified as obese.
Eastern Colorado is probably skewing the data.
