Lemmy has a lot of pro Israel bias
Lemmy.world - absolutelly. In fact I have reason to believe at least on of their admins works for Israel.
Same for the German servers - they too censor anything critical of Israel by claiming that according to German law it’s “anti-semitism” so they have to take it down.
The rest - not at all: most are Anarchist or Leftwing - from mild to autocratic - and thus deeply against the whole murderous white supremacist colonialist mindeset and actions of Israel.
Have you not figured out yet that a big part of the problem is that you made your account on .world?
Haven’t really seen that. Seems to be some not wanting all Israelis to be killed level of support. But little support of Israeli military actions in Gaza, wb, or elsewhere.
For those who follow the actual Principle that only people’s actions dictate what they deserve happens to them (not things they did not chose, such as race, gender or nationality), it makes total sense to be against the actions of Israel and wanting those who commit them to be punished proportionally to the harm they cause whilst not wanting for people to be punished merelly for being Israeli.
It’s absolutelly consistent for anybody who is a natural leftwinger because of having personal principles around treating people fairly, to both be against Israeli aggression and not want all Israelis to be punished as a group, as both things cause suffering to people who don’t deserve it.
(Now, punishment to Israelis knowingly supporting the murderous actions in Gaza and, even more, those ordering and commiting such actions, that’s absolutelly fair).
Only the Racists look at those things with a “they are all the same” mindset and thus want entire groups of people sharing nationality or ethnicity to suffer due to the actions of some.
News and worldnews have some extremely pro zionist mods
Agree. I see an anti Israel opinion every 30 seconds. Almost never see anything directly pro Israel. A lot of random accusations of Zionism though
