Three people died and 14 people have been hospitalized in a shooting on West Sixth Street in Austin early Sunday morning. The shooting is being investigated by the FBI as a potential act of terrorism, according to Acting Special Agent in Charge Alex Doran.

The suspect, who’s included in the number of dead, was killed by Austin police officers responding to the shooting.

The shooting happened at Buford’s, a bar at the intersection of West Sixth and Rio Grande streets. In a 9:30 a.m. news conference, Austin Police Department Chief Lisa Davis said the suspect drove around the block several times in an SUV before he rolled down his windows and shot bar customers on the patio and in front of the bar.

Statistically, it’s only a matter of time before a mass shooter is themselves gunned down by a completely separate mass shooter during an unrelated mass shooting…

I thought uncontrolled gunfire was acceptable in Texas. Otherwise, why wouldn’t the murder of a citizen by feds or a father murdering his daughter during a political argument result in charges?

Look how quickly they use the “terrorism” tag if it can further their agenda but “lone gunman” it the rest of the time.

This happened very close to the condo I lived in until 2023.

We get “mass shootings” at Seattle bars & clubs nearly every week and I haven’t once heard it declared “terrorism”.

the suspect drove around the block several times in an SUV before he stopped, turned his flashers on and rolled down his windows. He then used a pistol to shoot bar customers on the patio and in front of the bar, the chief said, without ever entering the business.

The suspect then drove west, parked his vehicle on nearby Wood Street and got out of his vehicle with a rifle, Davis said. The suspect then shot people who were walking along Sixth Street, the chief said, before he was shot and killed by responding officers.
