Preventing corporations from buying homes might be good if there’s not some stupid loophole baked in. A universal 401k sounds okay at face value, but it’s clearly a way to pump money into a collapsing stock market. Making AI companies pay for their own power would have been nice if it didn’t mean that we would just be spending more tax money for them to build their own power plants (bonus: looks like company towns are coming back!)

some of those “leftist” things he said are couched within a framework of misleading right wing populism. i’m working out right now but i can explain later. basically all he said was he’s gonna enrich himself and his wealthy donors, and he’s gonna do it ALL FOR YOU!! the biggest one was him calling on congress to block congressional stock market trades. the law he is referencing actually undermines the emoluments clause and would allow him to do even more crypto pump and dump rugpulls from the bully pullpit.

100%. and the people in his thrall are getting all their information straight from him or from outlets who only cover him in a positive manner like fox, newsmax, and now CBS. they think ICE is really protecting people like Ileyna Zarutska when ICE has killed 6x more Ukrainians this year alone than US citizens (he was a natural born citizen) riding transit, and have illegally detained at least 36 Ukrainians. just… to debunk one specific way the distortion field is working that i’m personally familiar with.
not to mention most of the people detained by ice in the Charlotte deployment throughout Appalachia have been good neighbors and friends whose only crime was being so desperate to escape their torturous poverty that they didn’t fill out some forms.
