Guatemala is the world’s largest economy that still recognizes Taiwan so maybe not the bellwether it seems

Its Guatemala not Nicaragua. The Collapse of the Federal Republic of Central America continues to doom the region however.

I think its important to remember that Central Americas are way more threatened by usa than the rest of the world. Even if they all banded together 100% they don’t have the logistics or power projection to resist usa militarily. The fascist usaians would love it because the media could sell the alliance as a offensive pact and the only thing average usaians hate more than war is Indigenous Americans.

I do hope there is a plan beyond tactical retreats but until they figure out how to resist collectively it is probably better to play possum.
