    The annual $35 tax on any Portlanders who earn over $1,000 yearly

    That is an insane cutoff. Imagine making $1100 a year and having to give $35 of it toward art, that the city then doesn’t use

      Yeah I’m mad about the military budget never passing an audit/federal taxes has its own problems, but a flat tax on such a low income threshold is quite the slap in the face.

      And it’s such a janky tax too between how you’re asked to pay it and now this— the not getting used part.

      I’d be happy to support it if there wasn’t such ineptitude.
