Wow! What a great episode. The last scene with Baelor coming in with the Game of Thrones soundtrack was epic. The farting scene was a bit off, though, and I hate having to wait nine days for the next episode lol.
After the pace of the last three episodes, this one could have used a little more time to clarify who is on each side. I’m sure we’ll get a full rundown before the battle next episode, but this one was just blazing fast.
That being said, what a closer of an episode. Baelor is such an excellent man.
Dunk inner monologue spoilers
I don’t think the knighting of Fossaway worked as well because we didn’t see Dunk’s internal struggle. I know it’s technically meant to be ambiguous and of course we had Ser Arlan appear during the knighting, but I think something extra would have been nice there.
Bit late to the party, but better late than never.
- Baelor stole the entire episode. His actor is so fuckin’ good.
- Honorary mention to Lyonel, being the standout whenever he shows up.
- Lmaooo Maekar straight up calling Aerion out for hiding behind the trial of the seven.
- Fantastic: Armor Design. It is putting HoTD and GOT designs to shame. Honorary mention to that Fossoway armor.
- Not happy with the fart joke. In the novella, Bracken is the only knight who had the decency to respond to Dunk when asked to join the trial of 7
- Smallest nitpick, we know the story of every member of Dunk’s 6, except for that Beesbury Knight.
Baerlor' Entrance
IMHO I’m treating the GOT theme being used for Baelor’s entrance to the jousting as a surprise/spoiler, allowing others to feel the same goosebumps I experienced.
Additionally, one could argue that this theme serves as a leitmotif for history in the making, i.e.: something being intricately woven into the tapestry of fate.
Man, the theme coming up at the end as he road in. I miss this feeling. Binged all 4 episodes.
This may be the best episode yet for me. Things have been a bit slow until the end of the last episode but we’re really ramping it up now. Like others I don’t really get the toilet humor, I guess they decided that’s the way this show can be different…
