Ohooo His Lordship’s Hard Lemonade turned out harder than expected, we have a basement brewery full of very silly middle aged people who are gonna regret tomorrow!
I can’t wait to hear further developments!
Many giggles and slightly off-colour jokes
I don’t wanna go to work. 🙁😭
At least it’s good penalty rates today.
We pulled up at a truck stop on the way back today and they had a sign saying they were charging an extra 10% to cover penalty rates. I’m fine with that as long as it’s true
Get that bag 💰
Yes to double pay! I’m so glad I got rostered on today even though the wake-up was not fun
dinner tonight is snozzages with mustard, onion and shrooms on bread
followed by mango frozen treats
tomorrow’s dinner will be the same because I cooked extra
We’re doing sausages at work tonight too. No frozen treats unfortunately, but I believe we have lamingtons.
Took my t-shirt off slightly wrong this morning and tweaked something in the upper middle of my back, has been hurting me since 😭 getting old(er) sucks
Nah you’re still young cos you know how you hurt yourself. Getting old is when one minute you’re fine and next minute you suffer an injury and you didn’t even do nuffin
I think I’m old. Sore back, don’t know why.
Welcome to Middle age!!! Where getting up to walk to the bathroom may leave you paralysed on the ground from back spasms lol
rolled over in bed
ended up in hospital with sciatica ( not really, the rolling over triggered pain in an injury )
beach

I love your beach photos!
Metro tunnel report.
It’s fast , really fast, it takes at least 30 minutes off my travel time from Footscray to the city.
Everything looks really clean and spacious. The escalators are high but there are lifts too of course.
4 hobbits
I wanna hear about your first dates with your partners!
In my case, late partner. We were 6 years old, and entered primary school at the same moment. Literally hand in hand at our parents insistence. We hated each other, and never failed to provoke each other during lessons. Secondary school was separate, and he developed a series of crushes on tall blonde anglos with money. After his marriage to a tall blonde anglo girl (also in the same primary school intake) failed, he spent maybe 7-8 years discovering that he needed to learn manners. Preferably good manners, but that took a bit longer. During that time I had a failed marriage with a marine biologist and some very low points in my life.
After that, we met up again and connected. 30+ years later I lost him to a drug-resistant golden staph infection during covid. Still miss the bastard. Even if I did need to teach him not to dictate to me IN MY OWN KITCHEN by pouring a panful of eggs & bacon over him in front of his kids. And he was an Essendon supporter - always a warning sign imo. But I rose to that challenge by embracing Carlton as my team of choice.
I’m sorry for your loss :( sounds like you had a great partnership!
A group of us were meant to see a band together. Everyone else pulled out at the last minute except us two. It may have been a set up. Yadda yadda yadda. We’ve been together 30 years next week.
Ps. We knew each other before this but weren’t really friends.
Aww
What was the band? Do you still listen to them?
They were a pub band playing at the Espy. That’s all I remember.
Pretty sure I already told this one. Quick Tuesday after work drink from a Sat online message. I accused him of flirting with lampposts. He didn’t leave on Friday.
Ex fiance:
Traded guitar lessons for swimming lessons. Wasn’t supposed to be a date.
Turned into a date lol
Are you a good swimmer now at least? Haha
Lol still cant swim
Known each other for years through mutual friends. One day I asked “so how’s Boyo doing?” to the friend and she set up a group dinner after which I thought he hated me. After some messaging and a bout of illness we got our shit together and met up for coffee in which I verbal vomited the shit show that was my life. Somehow he thought that was pretty cool. I think he’s pretty cool.
So. Lesson learned.
If you go to the gym after 2 weeks off, and are not eating meat, you had better make sure you a shit load of good food afterwards, otherwise you wake up homicidal.
Cat tax

Oh yeah! I promised some ideas didn’t I? First get a good protein powder for smoothies after gym. Don’t really have a recommendation here though.
Good protein options
- can of chickpeas, drain and roast for 5/10 mins. Add a little bit of oil and any spices you want (I usually do s&p, paprika and a bit of chilli). This is a great snack or through rice etc
- tofu. Buy the firm stuff and squeeze moisture out before you do anything with it. It also freezes well and goes firmer when defrosted. But it has no taste so marinade or spice it up like chicken. Bit of hoisin sauce, or honey and soy. Best cooked in oil on hot for crsipyness but under the griller is good too
- buy some of the three or four bean mix. That, corn, tomato and some sweet chilli sauce is like the quickest salad ever.
If you make bolognaise then you can swap out mince for lentils. Use brown or red or a mix.
Derek Samo on YouTube has a bunch of good vegan stew recipes and tips. rainbow plant life is ok but sometimes she just has too many ingredients and I can’t be bothered.
Much appreciated!!!
Back in Melbourne. Fortunately the heat isn’t so bad and we got back before the worst of it
all shopping done
a bit headachy, will rest some
Doona washed and dried. Food prepped so minimal cooking needed this week. Aircon cranked up now and time to flop.
What are we all up to today? I think I am gonna wash sheets and doona, and prep some food. A slightly slow but productive day hopefully. Thought about heading into the rally but I am not up for crowds.
Hanging out with partner and mate, still recovering from wedding shenanigans on sat night lol
Super chill day, as tomorrow will be too fucking hot and I gotta go to work lol
Did I miss a chapter?! How’s the job search going?
Lol nah, just attended a wedding of some good mates lol. Another mate flew from the UK to stay with us for the same event so we’re just chilling out.
Found a job, CC again but it’s a means to an end :)
Bunnings trip. Then chill b4 tomorrow.
Gonna have some snags in bread, relax, read a book, not much else. Partied the last 4 days. Lol.
At first unread that as snags in bed and thought it was a uniquely Aussie take on coffee in bed.
Need to unKAOS but am also feeling very, very lazy. So clothes washing and gaming it will probably be! Maybe some craft time later.
😸
going thru the new train tunnel and shopping at daiso and miniso
then home to do my UnKAOS
I’m off to see Marty Supreme.
I haven’t been feeling well so probably some more rest. Maybe some tidying tonight if I have enough energy
Tidying up around the house, there’s crap everywhere after a busy week. Dealing with laundry. Watering the indoor plants. Gym & pool in the afternoon. Have a massive pasta craving so will make for dinner. Then tennis watching & chill.
Sheets washed, shopping done.
Pretty fucked today, so in bed rest of the day
Being an allergic snot monster, avoiding wilfully ignorant persons, and possibly some minor concreting.
minor concreting
I’m intrigued by minor concreting.
Pads for a handrail on the garden stairs (not sinking boots for yucky people if that was the intrigue 😝)
I’m working on pizza duty tomorrow so resting as much as possible. Did some laundry though.
Back to melbs today.
Looks like they’ve upped the forecast tm to 44.
hrmm…
So I went geocaching and did not find the cache after spending at least half an hour looking in this heat. My driver’s side door also only locks using the switch on the door, so it was unlocked the whole time. Woop woop. Crawling out of the passenger door is fun.
Will be back at that caching spot tomorrow to hopefully find the blasted thing. It’s a nano one, so very smol.
Edit: no way in hell will I be going into that inferno tomorrow. Maybe Wednesday
eyeshadow experiment continues
3 stick cream eyeshadows, shimmers in 3 tones of peach are a win
the pale blue powder is a no go, that went in the bin
tomorrow I start on the Goth palette , lots of sparkly silver and greys in that one
