The Flash It’s story wasn’t an adaptation of Flashpoint but just some shitty random bullshit

There are a lot of problems with the film, but it absolutely was an adaptation of Flashpoint. They didn’t change things as wildly and focused more on the DCEU mythos, but the core story is there with a focus on Flash and his mother which was heartfelt and well done.

Get the film out earlier, improve the CG budget, and somehow make Ezra Miller a decent person and I think it’s one of the best rated DCEU films, might have even “saved” the DCEU.

We’re in a better timeline now, but what could have been.

Blue Beetle is actually good. There was no marketing for it because the decision to shut down the DCEU had already been made.

I also enjoyed Blue Beetle, but the post isn’t wrong that (basically) no one saw it.

Perfect encapsulation of a shit show. I think they should of added green lantern and Ryan Reynolds cluster fuck causing him to join the MCU

Look, I was a DC stan from way back into my youth. I was so excited for the DCEU. There were nuggets of good here and there, but there were far more missed opportunities than successes due to a wild number of people who straight up did not understand the source material or the wants of the movie going public. Combined with factors that were outside of DCs control (COVID, wars, actors turning out to be pieces of shit, etc), it just did not work.

Having said all that, James Gunn is here to save DC and give us something worthy of the source material.
