At least dogs have the decency to beg silently unlike cats. Got a cat about a year ago and it still annoys me every time she does her loud begging meow when she’s hungry, but the dog just quietly looks at me which has never bothered me the way it does for some people.
My cat will sit in front of me in my field of view and just stare at me until I can’t take it anymore and cave in.
When I got her she would meow for treats but quickly found out she could just sit and stare !

Well, one of my dogs recently started experimenting with loud barks during her begging. She learned it from my other dog, but he makes a delightful sound. Hers is just very, very loud
