I’ve debated whether or not I should post this, but I’ve been feeling quite disappointed with the quality of comments on Hexbear threads recently.

Since many threads are crossposted between here and there, I would often read the comments on both threads for different perspectives (and to be honest, for more content in general).
In the last few weeks, however, I’ve been finding myself again and again in situations where I read the Lemmygrad thread and it’s completely fine, and then when I check the Hexbear crosspost I would find the comments to be, for lack of a better phrase, an absolute dumpster fire.

Not sure if it’s just me, maybe unlucky coincidences, or something of a pattern that I’ve just missed.
I don’t mean to be negative, it’s just been bothering me lately.

hexbear is a “big tent” thing mostly made up of am*ricans, a lot of them aren’t marxists, as shown by their stance on llms among other things
i wouldn’t take most of them too seriously

Hey everyone, have a great week! Keep up with your goals, stay dilligent, and be sure to find some time to relax as well, if you can.

    As always, communism will win.

EU is fuming about Belgium not willing to use frozen Russian asset money to further fund Ukraine. Basically the only good thing our government is doing now.

The best part it that Belgium isn’t refusing outright. They are just demanding that the EU agree to pay the damages in any law suits and the EU is saying “we can’t take on that risk.” So the EU knows it is illegal and would get them sued but they want the Belgians to take the fall.

I swear when NATO breaks up Europe is going to be a slaughter house as all these petty grievances will have nothing holding them back.

It would. It is also illegal and I believe Russia would be in their right to demand payments once war would stop. So it’s only natural for Belgium to not want to face a 165 billion repayment to Russia at one point.

lol petro is such a gigachad, he released his bank statements on his own will with charges at a strip club and some fancy store lmao. He is now daring his opposition to also release their bank statements.

“I am not a drug dealer, i just like Gucci and strippers.”

Finished Immovable Object: North Korea’s 70 Years at War with American Power by A. B. Abrams [2020] a couple of days ago, which ends it’s analysis half-way through 2020, and immediately started his 2025 book Surviving the Unipolar Era: North Korea’s 35 Year Standoff With the United States. A lot of rehashing in the beginning, but obviously understandable considering it’s a different book.

I would highly recommend Immovable Object to anyone interested in the DPRK, especially since it’s analysis is much more detailed and in-date than the (still good) 2017 Gowans’ book.

Went to the protest today in my city that PSL organized, to protest against the aggression towards Venezuela. Very small turnout. Public reception was 99% positive, only one angry heckler.

EU is speedrunning losing the support of one of their most pro EU member states and I’m in the front row seat eating my popcorn lol.

Please Belgium swallow the boot and take on a potential 200 billion debt all by yourself because we won’t give you any guarantees.

Belgian prime minister just got a full, 100% support on his stance on the Russian assets by all parties. This country has never been this united about something lol.
