Wouldn’t it be slander? Since it was verbally spoken Slander would apply. Libel is regarding written statements.

He really is a piece of shit. Maybe the RCMP won’t be so willing to protect him and his family next time they are threatened.
That’s his job I guess. To jump and prod and provoke and show that the colour blue is better than the colour red. Issues don’t matter, just opposition (even to a great idea). Most of that HoC activity is just elementary school insults and clapping for your own bully, very little gets done.
