Abida Parveen imo is the single greatest female vocalist of our lifetime. Certainly my favourite voice. Now her style ofc is not in the western musical tradition so I’m not sure what people will think of her but I’d love to hear your opinions folks.

I love her voice most when its deepest and on songs that are slower. Infact I love the talking during the songs just as much.

I agree with disliking the coke studio versions. But it’s more acceptable to the untrained ear which is why it’s what I post here.
Can’t go full on with potential first timers.
Edit: first time with this particular recording and I’m liking it. Voice is clearly much younger here.
