We have heard you. We apologize for the confusion and angst the runtime fee policy we announced on Tuesday caused. We are listening, talking to our team members, community, customers, and partners, and will be making changes to the policy. We will share an update in a couple of days. Thank you for your honest and critical feedback.

On a different note: This is my first time deliberately linking to Nitter instead of X/Twitter. Let me know if you prefer this and I’ll do it more often. I’m not going to restrict posting of X/twitter links, but some in the community have asked for nitter. Let me know if this is a welcome change.

Waste of time. After all of this, they are still going to be going forward with more “changes to the policy” instead of simply walking the entire thing back. They’re just doing the Wizards of the Coast strategy, announcing something that is blatantly evil and then expecting acceptance when they “listen to the community” and choose to be slightly less evil.

This does remind me of when the greedy executives at Wizards of the Coast tried to squeeze money from the community and said everything belonged to them.

I am not sure Unity can be trusted. Hope they don’t have competition because I would switch.
