ultimately you can’t address public health without regulation. the best you can do is to galvanize christian moms to tilt at windmills like beef tallow and cane sugar.

raw milk and meat is genuinely insane though like do americans even learn about parasites and bacteria? i jest because i know most of these people were homeschooled and their curriculum consisted of reading the bible in 10 different formats in order to learn the importance of supporting israel.

They do, it’s a required part of and curriculum to learn about pasteurization and the history of foodborn illness.

Like everything else though, Americans squander what’s given to them. The mass exploitation of the global south essentially manifests as slightly cheaper gas for trucks and wider roads with more fast food.

All public good that has been done here must be rejected in favor of growing the beast. Things like fluoridation, pasteurization, de-leading gasoline, iodized salt, etc. All massive public health operations that have been remarkably successful, but end up costing companies some small fraction of profits to comply with.

You can’t allow government solutions. You have to create the dilemma by destroying the existing order and selling snakeoil to those who start to die because of it.

I really wish Pratt would fuck off I’m sick of seeing him in every other movie trailer. He’s a conservative through-and-through but downplays it as “Aww shucks! Please ignore my shitty views.”

When pressed to clarify on what he meant he went on to say “you know, it’s toxic, because chemicals”

At this point ignorance is not an excuse and hiding behind that annoying fake quirky persona that these actors have is wearing fucking thin.
