Modifying the cliche phrase, good times make complacent people, complacent people want fast solutions, fascists promise fast solutions, fascists create bad times, bad times create aware people, aware people create good times

Wanting to reduce the deficit and immigration isn’t fascism. Every time you misuse that word it becomes a little bit more meaningless.

You’re downvoted because you’re participating in bad faith but you likely already know that.

Edit: yikes on a fucking stick this user is posting here looking for child pornography posts:

Where am i to find all the CSAM pictures without shitposts on lemmy.world 😞

They’re not arguing in bad faith. You maybe didn’t notice the user change, @PatFussy@lemm.ee didn’t say anything about what fascism is, they literally just asked for more information. If you did notice the username, then you’re making one hell of an assumption over the tone of their comment.

That CSAM comment was clearly a joke in light of the shitpost memes community closing. People joke in meme threads.

You’re exaggerating things and turning another user into a scarecrow just so you can jump down on them and circle-jerk over them. That’s very disgusting behaviour on your part.

Oh god you took what I said about CSAM out of context as a gotcha? And its getting upvoted???

This is max level cringe. I actually wish the worst for you.

Asking for information is bad faith now. Are you joking right now? Im not from your part of the world and just dont follow any nordic politics… i dont know how to sift through real info and misinformation if im not from there. People throw the word fascism around like its a hot potato

So you confidently claim that whatever is happening has nothing to do with fascism and that the word is being misused, then, when called out, you’re just asking questions and admit you are ignorant about Nordic politics?

Maybe inform yourself first before aggressive engaging in discussions on topics you self admittedly don’t understand. Otherwise, it’s fair to assume bad faith.

I am asking for your help to inform me LMAO

Its funny that when I “do my own research” people say I am doing it wrong but when I ask them for their research they say “DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH”.

Really cant win with you guys. I am asking for your help and you still think its bad faith. I am starting to think that you dont have any information to share and you are piggy backing off of some common belief and I hate that.

Also, saying “id love to hear your take” is aggressive now apparently.

Like clockwork, the sea lion demands that everyone else show proof rather than quickly doing a google search. At least you admitted you aren’t capable of critical thinking. Have a fantastic day mister! All the best.

Wanting to reduce immigration, if you are in a Western nation with ageing populations and a falling birth rate is fucking stupid. Also, people advocating for reduced immigration are shitcunts.

        Better?

You’re either an immigrant or a deranged person. Immigration has been a disaster for the west. Mainly BC it’s immigration from third world countries. Canada is seeing insane house prices, the middle class has disappeared and a generation (who voted for this) are regretting it and are already lost

Call it xenophobia, racism, authoritarianism, tribalism or whatever you want. They are all precursors and defined in Fascism. Let’s not wait until it happens to call it what it is… Fascism.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

HELSINKI, Sept 1 (Reuters) - Finland’s former Prime Minister Sanna Marin, who narrowly lost an election in April, stepped down on Friday as chair of the centre-left Social Democrats, hoping to take the focus off her personal life after an often turbulent four years at the helm.

Marin, who had announced her intention to quit soon after the election loss, was the world’s youngest prime minister when she took the post in 2019 aged 34, attracting attention around the globe and helping lift Finland’s profile.

After leading the country through COVID-19 lockdowns and the ensuing economic turmoil, Marin became a vocal supporter of Ukraine after Russia’s invasion last year and succesfully pushed to end Finland’s military non-alignment in favour of NATO membership.

Marin, now 37, has appeared on the covers of Vogue and Time Magazine, has a million followers on Instagram and is considered by fans around the world as a millennial role model for progressive leaders.

But at home, voters concerned with issues like immigration and a growing public deficit in April handed Marin a narrow defeat to the right wing National Coalition and the far-right Finns party, triggering the government’s fall.

The drug test was negative, Marin announced, and she apologised to Finns when a picture from a party at the prime minister’s seaside residence showed two well-known female influencers covering their bare breasts with a “Finland” sign.

The original article contains 431 words, the summary contains 230 words. Saved 47%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

@ChatGPT@lemmings.world I’ve seen the text below online, can you translate what it means?

Sure, I’ll be happy to translate this for you.

            It translates to:

"Cursed! I split him in half like a piece of balsawood!

Tell me how well Google Translate fares with Finnish. I don’t have high hopes. Your grammar is shitty.

            Damn."

The last word “Perkele” is often used in Finnish language as a swear word or to express frustration. Please note that online translations, including Google Translate, might not always be accurate, and nuances of the language might be lost.
